Position: Teaching and Research series, Associate professor or Professor, 1 person.
Job Description: Reactor physics (nuclear energy physics and safety). Research requirements: Universal, precise and accurate multi-physics coupling numerical reactor platform based on Monte Carlo method and its application for design of new nuclear energy systems such as micro/nano nuclear energy system (series of nuclear power capsule/nuclear batteries).
Teaching or co-teaching the following courses: Principles of nuclear engineering, Reactor physics and numerical methods, Advanced reactor physics, Monte Carlo and high performance computing, Advanced nuclear Power system design, Nuclear reactor dynamics, In-core fuel management and optimization. Other teaching, administration and public service work are also required.
Qualifications: 1) Doctoral degree in nuclear Science and Technology; 2) Postdoctoral research experience in international and domestic high-ranking universities or top academic institutions, or formal position experience in top 10 universities or top academic institutions in related discipline internationally; 3) Meet the teaching requirements of Tsinghua University; 4) Applicant’s research work is generally recognized by international peers, and academic level ranks top among international peers in the similar age group, Or, undertake major key projects as the project/subject leader, Or, with a number of invention patents that can reflect innovative ideas, leading technology, innovative education and other achievements; 5) Applicant should have knowledge of software synergy development and relevant capability and experience, or Applicant should have the capability of reactor core and system design. Understanding RMC and/or engineering practice experience is preferential.
