On October 23rd , the Opening Ceremony for TUNEM 2017 professional internship was held by CGN (China General Nuclear Power Group) in Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant. That means TUNEM 2017 officially started two-week long internship there. Director Lian Yuming, Professor Zeng Shi, delegates of CGN and DEP (Department of Engineering Physics) and 24 students of TUNEM 2017 attended the ceremony.

Director Lian Yuming, Professor Zeng Shi and Andi Hanif delivered speeches respectively on the ceremony. Director Lian expressed his warm welcome to all the students and colleagues from Tsinghua University and gave a brief introduction of CGN. Finally he wished all the students would have a wonderful time in Daya Bay and achieve fruitful results during the internship.

Then Professor Zeng extended his sincere gratitude to CGN on behalf of DEP, Tsinghua University. He introduced DEP to everyone and he pointed that Tsinghua University has a great advantage in nuclear technology talent education. DEP and INET (Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology) offer a wonderful training mechanism for nuclear talents, and School of Materials Science and Engineering and School of Environment also provide similar training in related areas. In addition to that Professor Zeng referred to the requirements of this internship and expressed his best wishes to TUNEM 2017 students.

In the following two weeks, TUNEM 2017 will enjoy the professional internship elaborately arranged by CGN, including professional courses, plant visiting, and some culture activities.
